Story
Before Silic1 established, there were so many brands with colorful chemical foam bartapes or leather like bartapes, most of them may contain toxic material inside the bartape, where riders spend most time on cycling. That's why we decided to start a brand providing non-toxic, better touch, excellent control, and satisfying comfort bartapes.
Silic1 explored lots of materials and tried to create the best feel. Silicone, which maintains the same feeling in all kinds of weather and wide temperature without loosing any control.

Silic1 combined foaming and molding technologies to create silicone foam grips and bar tapes. These technologies make our products strong surface with an outstanding shock-absorption, and easy to clean. Riders can enjoy their ride all the time.

Silic1 uses medical grade silicone to produce products, which is non-toxic and anti-bacterial, to assure riders won't have any allergy on riding. Silicone is also an Eco-Friendly material: fully recyclable and silicone can decompose itself without any toxic ingredient left.

The Material: Silicone

Silicone is most common element in Earth. Silicones exhibit many useful characteristics, including: Low thermal conductivity; Low chemical reactivity; Thermal stability (constancy of properties over a wide temperature range of −100 to 250 °C); Does not support microbiological growth; Resistance to oxygen, and UV; Electrical insulation properties.

Silic1 uses medical grade silicone foam to produce products, which is non-toxic and anti-bacterial, medical grade silicone is more durable and sustainable when riders ride in extreme weather or conditions. With Silic1's own molding process, the bartape is easy to wrap, looking flat after wrapped, more cushion, and extra light weight than other Silicone foam products.
Silic1's material supplier is certificated every year by BioService since 1998, Silic1 products are re-certificated by TÜV Rheinland in 2020, the latest certificated No.: 238134780a 002.
